NEW from Eldonian and Jeffries Saddlery- the Minos Vision Range of Copper mouthed bits.
- The Eldonian Precision Bit is from the Minos Vision range of bits that are designed to be a more ergonomical shape with an angled lozenge to facilitate better contact through a more comfortable mouthpiece.
- The mouthpiece is also 90% copper to promote salivation.

The Eldonian Precision Jumping Bit
- A three section snaffle promting a soft contact but with extreme control.
- The central lozenge is angled and the rings are offset.
- The rings give the rider clearer turning aids than a traditional 3 or 4 rings dutch gag, as they are more compressed.  Milder leverage than a dutch gag, but often more effective.
-A popular bit with show jumpers.

Available in 5", 5.25" and 5.5"

Charmae's Notes - A great budget friendly alternative to the Sprenger and Neue Schule universal, very similar action without the higher Price Tag!

    great soft but precise bit

What a lovely bit! Excellent manufacturing quality - lovely finish on the mouthpiece - no bit butter required on my sensitive mouthed arabian. Great bit for a horse that needs slight leverage with the option to just use the big ring too. Love it!

More control while not being harsh

I've had my horse for 5 years, it was quite strong in jumping and would become difficult to control, in both steering and speed and striding. With this bit I have found that I have improved control while not being too harsh, however if he does start to become strong I can apply a bit more pressure and he still responds. With this bit I hope that as a combination we can progressed up the level.

    Non offensive & easy going

Posted by Alexandra on Mar 02, 2015

I have a very strong TB mare, who I event at a Pre Novice level currently. Since I purchased her in 2013, I have tried a snaffle *(and quickly removed, because I value my life haha), I then tried a few others and settled on having her going around in a gag for both jumping phases, as she tends to go like a bull at a gate during both Showjumping and XC. The gag was very offensive to the horse though, and she spent a lot of time flicking her head when the cracking action of the bit hit her in the mouth... It wasn't a great situation really. Just recently when I was cantering into a solid vertical with her head in the air because she wasn't listening, I decided it was time for a change... I rang bit bank for advice on what step to take next.... Buying this hardware is an expensive decision and mistake to make. The lovely lady gave me a recommendation, and said that I could send it back if I needed or swap for another one. She recommended the Neue Schule Universal with a French link, for the brakes it would give me, ease of turning and softness, so that the horse can concentrate and get on with the job, but not take ME for a ride... I had trialed it last week, but in all honesty hadn't tried to stop the horse from a dead gallop before I had to compete this past weekend at Canberra ODE. I decided to go with it anyways. We had a smooth consistent Showjump round. The horse listened to me , and didn't fuss. We had one of the best rounds of the day putting us in ribbon contention... The XC phase was fantastic too - not only could I check her back without offense in the mouth, but she was much more responsive to the sharp turns on the course... I even managed to pull her up easily at the end of the course! Overall we placed 5th in our class, and I attribute the cool, calm attitude in the jump phases to less mouth offence. She connected with me, rather than running away from the bit... What a brilliant result! I LOVE this bit - thank you BIT BANK for your assistance with my selection! Its fantastic!

This bit has really made me understand how hard I was in the hands. I am so glad I took the risk and my horse is as well, he is really loving it with loads of chewing and saliva. Thanks bit bank, your customer service was great with feedback from start to finish, I know where I will go next for all my bitting needs
