Designed to communicate with the horse with basic training, learning the gaits, transitions and obedience.
- Features a curved mouthpiece for dispersed pressure and ease of swallowing.
- Uses tongue pressure and bar pressure- working mostly off the tongue. Myler bits distribute tongues pressure more evenly than traditional designs.
- Features the Myler "pinch and restrict with release"- the bit collapses on the sides of the bars and comes down into the tongue. When the horse relaxes in the poll, the pressure is released. The horse then learns to come into the "comfort zone".
- The fixed cheeks of the Dee ring offer the bit more stability in the mouth, which can suit either a fussy mouthed horse, or a rider with unsteady hands. The flat dee sides can also assit the rider with clear direct turning aids, while preventing the bit from sliding through the mouth. A good alternative to a Full cheek, where the longer arms are not desired for safety reasons.
- The bars of the Dee ring measure 3" long for the pony sizes 4.5" and 4.75 , 3.5" long for the horse sizes of 5" and 5.5".
-This Myler snaffle bit is dressage legal for competition.
One of the few Myler bits commonly available in the smaller sizes- we carry this in both the 4.5" and the 4.75"!

When I purchased my horse he came with a heavy Pelham bit. He was hard to stop and not very responsive to my hand aids. I decided to try the Myler bit and was totally amazed during my first ride with this bit, my horse was responding to my aids with the slightest movement of my hands. He seemed very relieved to have this bit in his mouth and has continued to impress me with his response since. These bits are true to their word and I won't ever use another bit.

A kinder way to communicate
Over the past 2 years I have switched all of my horses to Myler comfort mouth bits and I can not go back to a regular snaffle. All of the horses - from mature to unbroken have accepted these bits so well. There is a greater degree of communication and softer contact and the barrel joint allows you to move the cheek independantly which seams to help to encourange the horse. If you are looking for an alternative to the nutcrack, give a Myler a go.

We bought this bit in 4.5" for a welsh pony but found it too big (she is fine in the muzzle) so since we have so many horses tried it on a sensitive, soft mouth, fussy QH mare. She has been going lovely in it since. A happy, comfortable horse who hated the nut cracker of regular snaffles. I highly recommend this style of bit just find they run a bit big.
